Leilah
For someone who hated the idea of everyone imagining her and Drake together, Leilah was relatively calm in the wake of the Worst Panel Ever. She couldnât believe that a fan went as far as reading real person fanfiction out loud at the mic, but hey, worse things could have happened. Like fanart on the projector.
Still, Leilah was not wont to look Drake in the eye when they were relieved from the panel and slowly made their way back up to their suite, where they would have a light dinner and prepare for the VIP masquerade that night. For once, Drake was not her usual, chatty self, either. She kept her eyes forward and occasionally said something to one of the managers, but otherwise, it was up to Leilah to break the awkward silence in the elevator.
âAre we going to talk about it, or no?â
Everyone looked at her as if they had no idea what she was talking about.
âThe fan reading erotic fiction!â Leilah stomped one of her heels. The elevator jerked from the supposed force. âThe one about me and Drake, like we were a real couple! Weâre not gonna bring it up?â
Jay cleared his throat and looked away, blushing. Tony held up his hands, as if he were not touching that with a ten foot pole. The only one to meet her gaze was Drake, who said, âFirst time hearing that you could put your legs over your head, huh?â
Tony snickered behind Leilah. She pretended she didnât hear it. âFirst time Iâve heard I could do it for you.â
Drakeâs cheeks were paler than Jayâs were pink. âI see how it is.â
âWow,â Tony said, with more laughter hitting Leilah in the back of the head. âThat really was something, huh? Youâd think theyâd screen people better.â
âYou can bet they wonât be doing much of that anymore,â Drake said. âHonestly, Iâm more offended she thinks Iâm such a gentle lover. Not even for you, Leilah.â
âAll right, I get it,â she said.
âAnyone who reads the tabloids knows that I go hard or go home.â
Really? In front of the guys like this? Leilah gritted her teeth. âI wouldnât expect any less from you. In fact, Iâd be offended if you didnât afford me the same careless loving you give all the other girls in your bed.â
âLadies,â Tony said, before Drake could be quick to anger. âLetâs put that behind us and get ready for the VIP party. Plenty of time to loosen up far, far away from one another.â
âRiiiight.â Drakeâs sudden smile was only a little disconcerting. âMaybe Iâll find someone new to have some careless love with. Thatâs what Iâm good for, right?â
âYou know thatâs not what I meant,â Leilah snapped. âBesides, you better not be bringing anyone back to our suite. You know the rules.â
âRight. No women but you in my bed. It would anger the fans.â
The doors dinged open. Jay flew out of the elevator before he was further embarrassed. Tony herded the talents forward like they were hissing cats.
